Tennis Lessons for Adults
From the President:
Welcome back for another great year at UBII. Last year was very successful with the new shaded area at the pool and the tennis courts being in good shape.
The annual meeting was held March 24th. We definitely need some more people to come forward and volunteer their time. Lisa Hahn and Jodie Meyer will step down as the pool executives at the end of the summer following several years in charge. At least one person has expressed interest in helping but it is a shared role so we need one or two more people. If you are interested in helping out please contact any of the executives. It’s a great opportunity to meet people and help out in your community.
2010 fees will be the same as 2009 and should be paid to your street reps by May 15th.
No major projects are planned for the grounds this year.
Later in 2010 we will organize a meeting to get your thoughts and discuss the possibility of moving to the Special Area Levy approach for revenue collection that some other homeowners associations have moved to and are considering. Please e-mail the President via the Contact Us section of our website if you have any thoughts now on this topic or are interested in getting involved in the discussion.
We are planning on offering activities very similar to last year. We will also plan on having an adult party later in the summer. We had a very successful party last year. If you have any suggestions please let us know using the suggestion box.
Hope everyone has a great summer and takes advantage of all the facilities have to offer for kids, teenagers and adults.

Vandalism
We have been advised by the police that in their experience, the quicker graffiti is removed the fewer incidents there are in an area. If you have been a victim of vandalism or see vandalism in your neighbourhood , it is important that you report it to the police no matter how minor. We have a police contact person for this very purpose: Constable John Burke at 886-2310. Please contact Constable Burke with reports of vandalism. The police need as much information as possible to find these criminals and to deal with them in an appropriate way.
